On average we feed +- 1000 people every second Saturday through our Feed for Change program.  We currently budget R5500 for the Saturday programme and this caters for ingredients, transport, and gas for cooking. The cost per meal is R5 based on current food prices. So, in essence it costs us R5 per meal. We are currently in the process of changing the concept with this program. We want to invite local organizations to collect food parcels at our base in arears we are not able to get to.

Every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, we cook porridge and lunch for the local community in St Montague Village. We are currently servicing 220 people per day.  The aim here is to provide a child with a bowl of porridge before they go to school in the morning. We also cater for the elderly in the community with a meal so that they can take their medication.  This project started a few months ago with feeding 23 people to now 220 people per day .

Our lead for change program focuses on the upliftment and motivation of the children and youth through meaningful and learning workshops. We invite volunteers and subject matter experts to speak at our workshops. We recently had a anti bullying workshop where we hosted 200 children form the local community. We are in the process of rebooting this project to make it more impactful. Accommodation is our biggest challenge at the moment.
